Adjusting

I dislike so much depending on others and it seams that Bahrain's first goal is to push me into this. I cant drive here, since our local chapter is not officially legalized yet, even though we run events that bring at one table over 150 students and 30 companies. So, no legalization, no permit staying, thus no right to get my driving license.

Welcome to AIESEC expansion countries! An useless car and an useless me. In the middle of transition, I feel powerless even to get to my own office. The people have been heavenly helpful to drive me here - there, whenever I needed: either is Coco's for lunch, Seef for shopping or to company meetings. I miss walking a lot. I sooooo much do.

La Multi Ani, mamico!

You are very right Lumi. In Craig, when I am going to outside, to see something interesting I always walk, and feel myself as the actor from the film "I am the legend".Because, it seems as no one else walks on the street, everyone has a car, and I feel myself very alone; moreover, it makes me mad when people driving through stare at me.I am also missing walking in a crowded and cool streets of Bishkek. Anyway I have been adjusting to the city better. I'll Never be sorry for coming here, because I met a lot of interesting people, new culture, beautiful places....
good luck

Hey, Azamat, thanx for posting. how are you and how is going so far in US? The thing is that Bahraini do not use public transport (it's dirty and pretty dangerous) and taxis are very costy.. thus the car is a MUST have, since the hit is unbearable for walking...

Thank you, everything is OK. The weather is almost the same as in KG,so I am not having problems with the sun. But about three or four weeks ago when I woke up it was snowing outside, you know. It is pretty good seeing the snow in summer. When I was riding through the city I saw three wild deers grazing in the field without any fear. The same thing is in Craig, they also don't have public transportation. But the sun is bearable in difference from Bahrain...
Good luck Lumi :)
